Redaction

Prepare a report for public disclosure by removing personal data and confidential information.

Steps

  1. Open a study and choose New Redaction. Start from a CSR or narratives document, or from an uploaded DOCX or PDF.
  2. Scrivica proposes redactions in layers: rules first, then AI suggestions. Proposed redactions stay readable and highlighted.
  3. Accept or reject each proposal. Confidential information needs a specific justification.
  4. Export the redacted file and the anonymisation report.

Good to Know

The source text is never edited, so review rounds, check-out and the audit trail work as in any other document.

Final redactions in the exported file are not readable or searchable.
